Workflow Automation — Built Into Every Platform | Fervour Technologies

Automation that works
the way your business works.

Fervour builds workflow automation into every platform from day one. Approvals route automatically. Alerts fire the moment thresholds are crossed. WhatsApp notifications reach customers and staff without anyone pressing send.

Workflow automation is not a separate product you buy. It is a capability built into every Fervour platform — configured around your specific workflows during the process discovery engagement.

What We Mean by Automation

Your team makes decisions.
The platform handles the rest.

Most software automates tasks. Fervour automates the handoffs — the communication, the routing, the tracking — that consume your team's time without adding any value to the customer.

A decision taken by a salesperson triggers an invoice in finance. A field report submitted by a technician reaches the right manager within seconds. A customer milestone is hit and a congratulatory WhatsApp goes out automatically. None of this requires a person to remember, chase, or forward.

This is not a feature you activate. It is how the platform works — built around your specific approval hierarchies, your escalation rules, and your communication preferences — from the first day you go live.

Trigger-based, not scheduled
Automations fire when something happens — a deal closes, a ticket is raised, a threshold is crossed — not at a fixed time that may or may not be relevant.
Configured around your rules
Your approval hierarchy, your escalation thresholds, your SLA windows, your notification preferences. The automation fits your business because we discover your business before we build it.
Invisible to the user
The best automation is the kind nobody notices. It just works. The engineer gets the right job. The manager gets the right alert. The customer gets the right message. Without anyone pressing send.
Auditable and traceable
Every automated action is logged — who was notified, when, and what triggered it. Compliance teams and auditors can trace every automated workflow decision back to its source.
Four Types of Automation

What Fervour automates across every platform.

Every Fervour platform uses some or all of these automation types — configured specifically for the industry and the workflows discovered during the process engagement.

Approval Routing

Decisions that need a human sign-off — purchase orders, leave requests, quotations above a threshold, vendor onboarding — are routed automatically to the right person, in the right sequence, with a defined response window.

  • Purchase order above ₹50,000 routes to finance manager, then MD if not approved in 4 hours
  • Leave request routes to direct manager, then HR if pending for 24 hours
  • Quotation above a configured margin discount threshold requires senior sales approval before sending
  • Vendor payment above a threshold requires dual approval before release

Alert & Escalation

When something crosses a threshold — a machine's service record crosses a critical fault count, a customer's sentiment turns negative, a project milestone is overdue — the right person is alerted immediately, not at the next meeting.

  • Service ticket classified as critical by AI → owner WhatsApp alert within 60 seconds
  • Production batch fails quality check → quality manager notified, batch quarantined automatically
  • Outstanding payment crosses 30 days → accounts team notified, customer reminder triggered
  • Project milestone overdue by 2 days → project manager and client relationship owner alerted

Customer Communication

The right message to the right customer at the right moment — without anyone in your team composing or sending it. WhatsApp and email, templated to your brand voice, triggered by operational events.

  • Service engineer on the way → customer receives WhatsApp with engineer name and ETA
  • AMC contract due for renewal in 30 days → renewal reminder sent with summary of visits completed
  • Order dispatched → customer receives dispatch details and tracking information
  • Certificate of compliance ready → customer receives download link automatically

System & Third-Party Integration

Data that needs to flow between systems — between your Business OS and Tally, between your CRM and a payment gateway, between field reports and the leadership dashboard — moves automatically, not via manual export.

  • Invoice posted in the platform → Tally XML generated and ready for import without manual entry
  • Payment received → sales CRM updated, customer status changed, finance dashboard refreshed
  • Lead form submitted on website → CRM record created, sales rep assigned, welcome message sent
  • Field report submitted → leadership dashboard updated, recurring fault counter incremented
Real Examples Across Our Platforms

Not hypothetical. Running today.

These are automations deployed in live Fervour platforms — not illustrations of what is possible, but examples of what is already running.

Manufacturing — EOM
A production batch fails the quality inspection.
AUTOMATICALLY
The batch is quarantined in the system. The quality manager receives a WhatsApp alert with the batch ID and fault description. The production planner is notified that the batch cannot be dispatched. The incident is logged against the raw material lot for traceability.
Alert + Escalation + Audit
Equipment — CEMS
A service ticket arrives describing a unit that has "stopped responding."
AUTOMATICALLY
The AI engine classifies it as Critical. The business owner receives a WhatsApp alert within 60 seconds. The ticket is assigned to the senior technician available in the right geography. An SLA clock starts. The customer receives a message that their request has been prioritised.
AI Triage + Alert + Customer Comms
Food & FMCG — PDIS
A franchise outlet places an order for 200 units of a product.
AUTOMATICALLY
The daily production plan is updated. Raw material requirements are calculated against current stock. If stock is below the requirement, a purchase request is raised. The outlet receives a confirmation with expected dispatch date. Finance is notified of the pending order value.
Planning + Procurement + Comms
E-Learning — Fervour Learning
A learner completes the SCORM module and passes the platform assessment.
AUTOMATICALLY
A QR-verified PDF certificate is generated and placed in the learner's wallet. The learner receives a WhatsApp notification with a download link. The HR compliance dashboard is updated. If the certificate has an expiry date, a renewal reminder is scheduled automatically.
Certification + Comms + Scheduling
Construction — Fervour Construction
A subcontractor marks a milestone as complete on site.
AUTOMATICALLY
A payment claim is generated against the milestone value in the BOQ. The project manager receives a notification for review and approval. Once approved, the accounts team is notified to process the payment. The project progress dashboard updates automatically.
Billing + Approval + Dashboard
Business OS — Growth Intelligence
Monthly revenue crosses the Series A threshold for the third consecutive month.
AUTOMATICALLY
The MIS dashboard updates the investor readiness score. The founder receives a summary notification with the key metrics that have moved. The Data Room PDF is regenerated with the latest figures. The IPO Readiness Tracker records the milestone date.
MIS + Reporting + Investor Readiness
How We Build It

Discovered, designed, deployed.

No two Fervour automation implementations are the same — because no two businesses work the same way. Here is how automation gets built into your platform.

1
Process Discovery
During the engagement, we map every workflow that currently requires a human to remember, chase, forward, or notify. These are the automation candidates — the handoffs that consume time without adding value.
2
Trigger and Rule Design
For each automation, we define the trigger (what starts it), the condition (what determines the route), the action (what happens), and the recipient (who is notified or required to act). These rules are documented and agreed before build begins.
3
Build and Configure
Automations are built using the n8n workflow engine, Supabase database triggers, and platform webhooks. Complex multi-step automations with conditions, delays, and third-party integrations are handled by n8n. Simple event-driven notifications use database triggers for near-instant response.
4
Test with Real Scenarios
Each automation is tested against real scenarios from your business before go-live — not just technical validation, but behavioural testing. Does the right person get notified? Is the message in the right tone? Is the timing appropriate? We fix what does not feel right before your team sees it.
5
Evolve as You Grow
As your business grows, your automations grow with it. New approval thresholds. New communication templates. New integrations. Changes are made in configuration — not in code — so the turnaround is days, not weeks.

The Technology Underneath

Fervour automation runs on a combination of three layers — each chosen for a specific purpose, all invisible to the end user.

n8n Automation Engine — an open-source workflow automation platform that handles complex multi-step flows: conditional routing, delays, retries, and integrations with third-party systems like Tally, payment gateways, WhatsApp Business APIs, and email providers.

Supabase Database Triggers — for event-driven, near-instant automations that need to fire the moment a record changes. A ticket is classified, a payment is posted, a certificate is generated — all triggered at the database level for sub-second response.

WhatsApp Business API — via BSP partners (Interakt, AiSensy, Gupshup) for customer and staff notifications. Template-based, TRAI-compliant, with delivery confirmation and read receipts tracked in the platform.

Our Approach

Automation is not an add-on.
It is how the platform works.

Most software platforms offer automation as a premium tier — an extra module you unlock at a higher price point. You build the basic system first, and automation is something you "add later."

Fervour does not work that way. Automation is designed into the platform during the process discovery engagement — before a single line of code is written. The workflows, the triggers, the escalation rules, the communication templates — all defined alongside the operational modules, not bolted on afterwards.

The result is a platform that feels like it was made for your business. Because the automation follows your rules — not a vendor's assumption of how businesses like yours tend to operate.

Not a separate module. Automation is configured alongside every operational module — not purchased as an upgrade.
Not generic templates. Your approval thresholds, your escalation hierarchy, your message tone — configured specifically for your business during discovery.
Not dependent on the founder. The most important automation we build is the one that means a critical issue reaches leadership without the founder having to personally check every report.
Evolves with the business. As your team grows and workflows change, automations are updated in configuration — not rebuilt from scratch.
Every action is logged. Every automated notification, routing decision, and escalation is recorded with a timestamp — auditable, traceable, and reportable.
